Arlington Students' Academic Support (ASAS) aims to provide academic support for the children of economically challenged families in the Arlington community. Oftentimes, when families struggle financially, accessibility to out-of-school help is limited. As a result, kids won’t be able to seek additional help when they don’t understand what is being taught and may easily lose confidence. We hope that our project provides more opportunities for these students so that they can succeed in class, on the SOLs, and in the future by hosting free tutoring sessions for younger students and a weekly SAT study group.
